ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းနှင့် တရားဝင်လက်ထပ်ထားသော ရှန်းယုဟန်က ယခုနှစ်မှာရှိနေလို့ရသည်။
ဘိုးဘွားပိုင်ခန်းမနေရာက ကျန်းမြို့တော်၏ မြို့ပြဧရိယာမှာမဟုတ်ပဲ တောင်ပေါ်မှာ ဆောက်ထားတာဖြစ်၍ သူတို့ကားပေါ်ကဆင်းပြီး လမ်းအနည်းငယ်လျှောက်ဖို့လိုသည်။
အပြင်မှာအေးခဲနေပြီး ရှန်းယုဟန်က သူ့ကုတ်အင်္ကျီကိုတင်းတင်းဖက်ကာ ဘိုးဘွားပိုင်ခန်းမကို တစ်ဆင့်ချင်းလျှောက်လာပြီး မောဟိုက်နေသည်။
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက သူ့လက်ကိုဆွဲကာ ပြောလိုက်သည်။ “မင်းပင်ပန်းနေပြီလား?”
“မဆိုးပါဘူး။” ရှန်းယုဟန်က အတန်ငယ် အသက်ရှူမဝဖြစ်နေ၏။
ရှန်ချီရှင်းက ခါးထောက်ကာ ပြောလိုက်သည်။ “မရီး၊ ခင်ဗျားလေကျင့်ခန်းမလုပ်ဘူးလား၊ အိမ်မှာနေ့တိုင်းမနေသင့်ဘူး။ အပြင်ထွက်ပြီး လမ်းများများလျှောက်။”
ရှန်းယုဟန်က သူပြောတာ ကျိုးကြောင်းဆီလျော်တယ်လို့ တွေးလိုက်သည်။ “ဒါဆိုနှစ်သစ်ပြီးရင် ငါလမ်းလျှောက်ထွက်မယ်။”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက ရှန်ချီရှင်းကို မျက်စောင်းထိုးလိုက်သည်။ “ဆူညံတယ်” သူ့ဇနီးအိမ်မှာနေတာ ဘာမှားလို့လဲ။
သူတို့ရောက်တော့ ရှန်ချီယွမ်နှင့် အိမ်တော်များစွာက တခြားလူတွေ ရောက်နှင့်နေပြီးဖြစ်၏။
ဘိုးဘေးကန်တော့ပွဲလုပ်ငန်းစဥ်က ပြဿနာတစ်စုံတစ်ရာမရှိပဲ ချောချောမွေ့မွေ့ ပြီးသွားခဲ့သည်။
ယခင်နှစ်များနှင့် နှိုင်းယှဥ်ပါက တခြားအိမ်တော်သုံးအိမ်က ညီအစ်ကိုများ၏မျက်နှာသည် ပိုတောက်ပနေပြီး သူတို့၏ မောက်မာသောအာရုံမှာ ပို၍သန်မာလာသည်။ အထူးသဖြင့် ချီမိသားစု၏အကူအညီရထားသော ရှန်ချီယွင်က ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းကို စိန်ခေါ်ရဲရုံတင်မကပဲ သူ့ကိုနင်းချေပစ်ဖို့ အကြံအစည်လည်းရှိ၏။ ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက သူ့ကိုဂရုမစိုက်သလို အကြည့်တစ်ချက်တောင််မပေးပေ။
ညနေမှာ လူတိုင်းက ရှန်အိမ်တော်ကိုပြန်ကြပြီး နှစ်သစ်ကူးညစာအတွက် ရှန်ထျန်းဖုန်းကို အဖော်ပြုပေးရန် အိမ်ပြန်ခဲ့တာဖြစ်၏။
ရှန်ချီရှင်းက ရှန်ချီဟွမ်း၏အနောက်ကနေ လိုက်လာခဲ့ပြန်၏။
သူတို့က ဖက်ထုပ်အတူစားကာ နှစ်သစ်ကူးပွဲတော်ကိုကြည့်ခဲ့သည်။ ရှန်ချီရှင်းက ဆိုဖာပေါ်မှာ တစ်ယောက်တည်းထိုင်နေပြီး ရှန်းယုဟန်နှင့်ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက အတူထိုင်ကာ ရှန်ချီရှင်းက နွေဦးပွဲတော်ကို မကျေမနပ်ပြောဆိုနေသည်။

“ဒီဲပွဲက ဘယ်လိုကြီးလဲ?”
“ဒီနှစ်ဖိတ်ခေါ်ထားတာက အကုန် traffic တွေကြီးပဲ၊ ဒါရိုက်တာက trafficမှန်းတောင်မသိဘူး။ ဒီနှစ်ရဲ့ဒါရိုက်တာက မကောင်းဘူး။ အစားထိုးဖို့လိုအပ်တယ်။ ဖွဲ့စည်းပုံကသေးလွန်းတယ်။”
ရှန်းယုဟန်က ရုတ်တရက်မေးလိုက်သည်။ “ယောက်ဖ၊ မင်းလည်း traffic ပဲ၊ မင်းကိုဘာလို့မဖိတ်တာလဲ?”
ရှန်ချီရှင်းက ထိုမေးခွန်းကြောင့် စွန့်အသွားသည်။ ဒါကအနာကိုတုတ်နဲ့ထိုးလိုက်တာပဲ….
ဒီလိုမျိုးခေတ်သစ်နွေဦးပွဲတော်ကို သူ့မျိုးရိုးနာမည်က ရှန်ဖြစ်နေ၍ သွားလို့မရပေ။
ရှန်ချီရှင်းက တတိယမရီး၏အထိုးခံရခဲ့ရသည့် နာကျင်မှုကိုမေ့ကာ ပြောလိုက်သည်။ “တတိယအစ်ကို၊ တတိယမရီး…. ကျွန်တော် နောက်နှစ်လလောက်မှာ ပရိုဂရမ်တစ်ခုကို ရိုက်ကူးတော့မှာ။ ပြီးတော့ ကျွန်တော့်မိသားစုနဲ့ တွဲဖက်ရိုက်ကူးဖို့လည်းလိုတယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် ကျွန်တော်ဒီမှာရိုက်လို့ရမလား?”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက နေရာမှာတင်ငြင်းချင်ပေမယ့် အရင်မေးလိုက်သည်။ “အစ်ကိုကြီးဆိုရင် ပိုသင့်တော််မယ်မထင်ဘူးလား?”
ရှန်ချီရှင်းက အံ့အားသင့်သွားသည်။ “မလုပ်ပါနဲ့၊ သူ့မိသားစုမှာ ရိုက်စရာဘာမှမရှိတာကို၊ ပြီးတော့ အစ်ကိုကြီးကလည်း ကျန်းမာရေးမကောင်းဘူးလေ”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက ရှန်းယုဟန်၏အမြင်ကို မေးရုံမှလွဲ၍ ရွေးချယ်စရာမရှိပေ။ “မင်းဘယ်လိုထင်လဲ?”
ရှန်းယုဟန်က ဘာကိုရိုက်မှာလဲမသိသဖြင့် ပေါ့ပေါ့တန်တန် ပြောလိုက်သည်။ “ငြင်းစရာမရှိပါဘူး။”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက ရှန်ချီရှင်းနှင့် သဘောတူညီချက်ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည်။ “ရိုက်ကူးလို့ရပေမယ့် မထုတ်လွှင့်ခင်မှာ ငါ့ဘက်က ပြန်စစ်ဆေးမယ်။ ဒါကိုမင်းစာချုပ်ထဲမှာရေးလိုက်၊ မဟုတ်ရင်တော့ မင်းဒီရှိုးမှာ ပါဝင်ဖို့မစဥ်းစားနဲ့။” ရှန်းယုဟန်၏မျက်မှာကို ပြခွင့်မပြုနိုင်ဘူး။ သူက အင်တာနက်သုံးစွဲသူတွေ သူ့ဘဝကို နှောင့်ယှက်လာမှာကိုမလိုချင်ပေ။
“ကောင်းပြီ၊ကောင်းပြီ၊ကောင်းပြီ” လိုချင်သည့်အဖြေကိုရခဲ့သော ရှန်ချီရှင်းက ရယ်မောလိုက်သည်။
ရှန်းယုဟန်က တစ်ညလုံးမအိပ်ပဲ နိုးကြားနေပြီး သူတို့သုံးယောက်က နာရီသုညမထိမချင်း အတူနေခဲ့ကြသည်။
ရှန်ချီရှင်းက ရှန်းယုဟန်နှင့် ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းဆီက စာအိတ်နီကိုရရှိခဲ့ပြီး သူက စာအိတ်နီကိုယူကာ ရုတ်တရက်မျက်နှာလွှဲပြီး အပေါ်ထပ်ကိုတက်ပြေးသွားသည်။
“ကျွန်တော်အိပ်တော့မယ်၊ ကောင်းသောညပါ။”
သူ့တတိယအစ်ကိုနှင့် တတိယမရီး၏ မြင်ကွင်းမှထွက်လာကာ မျက်လုံးထောင့်ကိုသုတ်လိုက်သည်။
ဘာလို့မှန်းမသိပေမယ့် သူရုတ်တရက်ငိုချင်လာသည်။
ရှန်ချီရှင်း သူ့အခန်းထဲပြန်သွားတော့ ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက သူ့အိတ်ကပ်ထဲက စာအိတ်နီကိုထုတ်ပြီး ရှန်းယုဟန်ကို ပေးလိုက်သည်။ “မင်းအတွက်”
ရှန်းယုဟန်က ခဏတာအံ့အားသင့်နေပြီး သူလည်း သူ့အိတ်ကပ်ထဲက စာအိတ်အထူကိုထုတ်ကာ သူ့လက်ထဲထည့်ပေးလိုက်သည်။ “ယောကျာ်း၊ ပျော်ရွှင်စရာနှစ်သစ်ကူးပါ။”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက စာအိတ်နီကိုဖယ်ကာ ရှန်းယုဟန် အာရုံစိုက်မနေသောအချိန်မှာ ပွေ့ချီလိုက်ပြီး အပေါ်ထပ်တက်သွားသည်။ သူက ခြေလှမ်းတစ်လှမ်းဖြင့် လှေကားသုံးဆင့်ကျော်ပြီး အခန်းထဲပြန်ဖို့ စိတ်လှုပ်ရှားနေသည်။ ရှန်းယုဟန်က တိုးတိုးလေးအော်လိုက်ပေမယ့် ယောကျာ်းလို့တောင် မခေါ်တော့ပေ။ “ရှန်ချီဟွမ်း……အောက်ချပေး!”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက ရှန်းယုဟန်၏ဖင်ကို ပွတ်သပ်လိုက်သည်။ “အရမ်းအတင့်ရဲတာပဲ၊ ယောကျာ်းလို့ခေါ်။”
ရှန်းယုဟန်က နှုတ်ခမ်းကိုဖိပြီး ကုတင်ပေါ်လှဲချမခံရခင်အထိ လုံးဝခေါ်မလာခဲ့ပေ။ ထို့နောက် သူက ရှန်ချီဟွမ်း၏လည်ပင်းကို ဖက်ပြီး တိုးတိုးလေး ရေရွတ်လိုက်သည်။ “ယောကျာ်း။”
ရှန်ချီဟွမ်းက ခေါင်းငုံ့ကာ သူ့နှုတ်ခမ်းထောင့်ကိုနမ်းလိုက်သည်။ “အွန်း?”
ရှန်းယုဟန်က သူ့နှုတ်ခမ်းသူလျက်လိုက်သည်။ “ကျွန်တော်ခင်ဗျားကိုလွမ်းတယ်။”
ဒီနှစ်ဟာရိုးရှင်းပြီး ဟန်ဆောင်မှုမရှိပဲ နေရာတိုင်းမှာ နွေးထွေးနေသည်။
