ဒါပေမယ့် သူမရဲ့တိုင်းပြည် ပျက်စီးသွားတဲ့အခါမှာတော့ သူမက လူသေတွေရဲ့ အရိုးတွေကို နင်းပြီး ငရဲပြည်ကနေ တွားသွား ရုန်းကန်ထွက်လာခဲ့တယ်။ သူမရဲ့ ငယ်ချစ်ဦးဖြစ်တဲ့ ဟော်ရှက သူမကို ရန်သူ့တိုင်းပြည်ဖြစ်တဲ့ တာ့ချီအထိ ပို့ပေးလိုက်တယ်။ အဲ့ဒိ ကျေးဇူးမသိတက်တဲ့ မုန်းစရာကောင်က ငယ်ငယ်ကတည်းက ဓားစားခံမင်းသားအဖြစ် တာ့လီကို ရောက်နေခဲ့တာလေ။

ဟော်ရှက သူမကို ချစ်မြတ်နိုးစွာ ကြည့်ပြီး ပြောခဲ့ဖူးသေးတယ်။

လဲ့ကျစ်ကတော သူမရဲ့သွေးကြွေးတွေကို ဖုံးကွယ်ပြီး ဟန်ဆောင်ပြုံးတစ်ခုနဲ့ သဘောတူလိုက်တယ်။

တာ့ချီရဲ့ အိမ်ရှေ့စံမင်းသား ဟော်တူကတော့ “မသေမျိုးလောက”ကနေ နှင်ထုတ်ခံရလို့ လူ့ပြည်ရောက်နေတဲ့ပုံပေါက်နေပေမယ့် သူက ညာဘက်ခြေထောက်မကောင်းတဲ့ မသန်စွမ်းသူ ဖြစ်နေခဲ့တယ်။ ပြီးတော့ သူက လှည့်စားတက်ပြီး အကြင်နာကင်းမဲ့တဲ့ ရူးသွပ်နေတဲ့ နတ်ဆိုးလိုလူပေါ့..

တစ်နေ့မှာတော့ သူ့ရဲ့ခမည်းတော်ဘုရင်မင်းမြတ်က သူ့အတွက် လက်ထပ်ပွဲတစ်ခု ချီးမြှင့်ခဲ့ပြီး လက်အောက်ခံတိုင်းပြည်ရဲ့မင်းသမီးလေးကို ပေးအပ်လာခဲ့တယ်။

ဟော်တူတစ်ယောက် ထပ်ခါ ထပ်ခါ လှောင်ပြောင်ပြီးရင်း မခိုးမခန့် ရယ်မောနေတော့တယ်။

ဟော်ရှ ထိတ်လန့်နေချိန်မှာပင် ဟော်တူက ဓားဖျားကို သူ့နှလုံးသားဆီသို့ ပြန်လှည့်လိုက်ပြီး လဲ့ကျစ်ကို ဖြည်းညှင်းစွာ ပြောလိုက်ပြန်သည်။ 

“ဒါမှမဟုတ် မင်း ကိုယ့်ကို အရင် သတ်မလား၊ အဲ့ဒါလည်း ကောင်းပါတယ်…”

ဟော်ရှ၏ မျက်လုံးများက တုန်လှုပ်မှုကြောင့် ပြူးကျယ်သွားသည်။
